cutting brick

I would like to install an egress window in the basement of an older home with the old styled brick/tile basement. I just need to enlarge an existing window opening. What is the best way to cut through this brick?
Not knowing how never stopped me from doing anything,

1st make sure you have a proper header above new opening. Rent a wet/dry diamond blade saw from a tool rental place and have fun!
