Form-A-Drain Experiences?

Postby Quad-Lock » Tue Apr 25, 2006 9:51 am

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using the Form-A-Drain product from Certainteed. I understand that it works well but needs to be placed carefully to insure proper draining and that a lot of concret contractors have trouble thinking about the drainage issues since this is usaully the excavators job afterward.

Any information would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by this comment. The product itself is set level, just like any wood footing board!

I used Form-a-drain a few times. I stopped because I had some issues with getting the product when I wanted it, and not buying a truckload. If it was available local, I perhaps would use it again depending on the project. It installed well, and I still have many of the brackets they sell. All-in=all it was better than using 2x10s and having to strip them out.

Now I use FastFoot footing fabric almost every time!

I haven't yet used form-a-drain but I have heard good things about it from my co-workers and partners.
